Weekly Review #33

Hello, bloggers!!

Happy Friday! I hope you all have had a fabulous week. It has been a busy one for me. Of course, as most of you probably can guess, I love!  🙂

So are you ready for a possibly long update??? This may very well be just that.

Business:  Is great! My first event will be taking place in 5 weeks (from tomorrow) and I am beyond thrilled. 15 Year Class Reunion. We have quite a bit left to do, but everything is running rather smoothly. The hardest part has been spreading the word about the reunion. Other than that……the venue, food, theme, decor….has all been agreed upon. The last (main) step is to call some faculty members and request their appearance and possibly a speech. I’m hoping to get those calls made today.

Writing:  Is a slow-go. BUT the book club I joined makes me motivated.  🙂  I plan to do a good deal of writing today. The last word count I did, (based on the average number of words in a novel) I am about half-way through. Based on my storyline, that’s about right. Which I only have the middle to do. I have the beginning and the end. That’s how I’ve envisioned it. Well, dreamed it. I’m excited about it! I can’t wait to share more details about it. And I may do that soon. So continue to check back with me. And please, by all means, if you have advice, give it! I can use all the advice I can get!

Rave Reviews: I am LOVING every minute of what I’ve been doing with this book club. Yes, it’s busy work. Yes, sometimes it seems like I am just not going to get everything done. BUT I’m enjoying it. And am gradually finding my own routine. I’m good at office work. I’m good at working in Microsoft Programs, like Word & Excel. Just ask Nonnie.  😉  That’s what my job basically entails as Secretary.
Rave Reviews Book Club is a wonderful organization. The Board Members are awesome and work so well together. The support is……WOW!!! If you’re not a member, you should be! Whether you’re a writer or a reader (or both!), this club would be a great thing for you to look into.  < >

AdvoCare: We are gradually getting some customers, which I’m thrilled about. We’ve been able to give samples to people and once they drink Spark, they are hooked! Who wouldn’t be??? Spark is AMAZING! I refuse to go a day without it. It increases your stamina, your focus, your ability to just GO! And it is so much better for you than sodas, with only 45 calories and lots of nutrients & vitamins. If you’d like to know more, just ask. I would love to tell you more. I would love to tell you my story. (It’s a good story!)

1,000 Creative Writing Prompts for Holidays: Festive Ideas for Blogs, Scripts, Stories and More by Bryan Cohen. This book is full of writing ideas for every holiday and occasion you can think of. From major holidays—Christmas and Easter—to ones we don’t always recognize—International Women’s Day and Arbor Day.  It’s nicely categorized into each season, which makes it much easier to reference to. The ideas are wonderful and plentiful! It is a very helpful tool to keep on hand, especially when you experience writer’s block.

1,000 Character Writing Prompts: Villains, Heroes, and Hams for Scripts, Stories and More by Bryan Cohen. This is quite the impressive little resource tool. Cohen offers a great deal in this book. We don’t just read simple ideas of characters, nor does it focus on the basic characters we all know (heroes & villains). We learn backgrounds and motivations, very detailed descriptions. He goes in depth to every type of character you can think of, organized into some wonderful categories–occupations, age groups, personalities. This is a book that you will turn to time and time again. It is full of so many prompts; you won’t be able to stop creating those ideas!

New Blog Schedule: My PLAN (<– keyword) is to post my Weekly Reviews on Fridays. Interviews will continue to be on Wednesdays. When I post a Spotlight Author, those will mostly be on Sundays. This leaves the other days of the week for whatever my heart desires. Can you keep up???  🙂

One last thing, friends. My dear friend and very talented author, Nonnie Jules, just released a new book. Sugarcoatin’ is for Candy and Pacifyin’ is for Kids!. This is such a great short read! It’s enlightening and inspirational. It’ll open your eyes to a few things. The best part……it’s FREE until tomorrow. Only 99¢ after that. Do yourself a favor and go get this book!  < >

That’s all for today. Thanks for stopping by! As always, feel free to leave your comments, feedback, advice or suggestions. I love hearing from my readers.  🙂

Until next time……………………………………………………love & blessings!!!
