#ReadingWednesday: Favorite Blogs, Pt 1

Good morning, bloggers!!

Today, I’m sharing with you some of my favorite blogs. Of course, there are so many more wonderfully entertaining and informative sites, but I can only type so much.  😉 I’ll just have to post a Part 2 later on! I hope you’ll help me in supporting these awesome peeps and their sites.

Beem Weeks“The Indie Spot”

Words from Beem:  Beem Weeks here. I’m an indie author, blogger, blog talk radio host, Social Media Director for Fresh Ink Group, and reviews coordinator for Rave Reviews Book Club. I have written many short stories, essays, poems, and the historical fiction/coming-of-age novel Jazz Baby. I have also released Slivers of Life: A Collection of Short Stories and Strange Hwy: Short Stories. I live to create with the written word.

Vashti Quiroz-Vega“The Writer Next Door”

Words from Vashti:  Why is my blog called ‘The Writer Next Door‘? I consider myself a people person and someone who’s very approachable. I try to see the good in people. I’m not easily influenced and I hate malicious gossip. I believe in ‘girl power’ and sisterhood between women, but I also respect and admire men. I’m not scary, although I can be a little weird at times. I’m a kid at heart and love to have fun, but I also take my responsibilities very seriously and work hard to achieve my goals.

Gwendolyn Plano“Reflections”

Words from Gwen:  When facing life’s difficulties, we seek answers. In my case, I realized there was much I needed to learn. Sometimes I could not see the choices before me; I felt more a victim than a master of my fate. And so I became a pilgrim of sorts–searching for healing and purpose. I traveled across the oceans and throughout much of the United States in search of a secret elixir. Along the way, I discovered that I did not travel alone. There were others, many others, who accompanied me. This website focuses on that hallowed journey.

Jan Sikes“Writing and Music”

Words from Jan:  I am an Award Winning Author, screenwriter, songwriter and most of all an individual. I tell true stories in a creative and entertaining way. I love sharing what other authors are doing and any information I feel is useful to other authors. I also enjoy playing guitar and writing music. With each book I publish, I also release a music CD of original music that matches the time period of the book. This is something unique and I haven’t met many other authors who do this, but for me, they go hand in hand. My stories all evolve and revolve around the music.

Ashley Cantrell“Well, Fiddlesticks!”

Words from Ashley:  I’m a mother first. I have a three-year-old little girl who would charge hell with a water pistol. Most of this blog will be about her. She’s my life. I’m married to a licensed minister who is solid gold. He helps me stay grounded, always offering grace to others when I’d prefer to just tell them where they can shove their opinions. I tell him that God put us together because He knew Tyler would struggle with being firm and assertive. I’m not going to be teaching any Sunday school classes or leading any bake sales, but I support my husband and our church in my own introverted way. Right now I work in Corporate America and have for the past eleven years. Once upon a time, I was going to write. I don’t know what happened. Life, I guess. My favorite things are writing and reading. I also enjoy stupid humor and horror films. I may be a little bias on this one, but Ashley is such a fantastic writer! She’s honest and genuine. There’s just something special about her words, her truth.

John W. Howell“Fiction Favorites”

Words from John:  I established this blog to provide a forum for the free exchange of information and ideas on the subject of fiction favorites. The primary goal of this blog is to entertain the reader with short items on a daily basis. I want to make clear that Fiction Favorites is a blog dedicated to humor. The stories are told in dialog without tags so that the reader can become part of the action. Not everyone can read these kinds of stories and appreciate them, but hopefully, you are one that can.

D.L. Finn“Author D.L. Finn”

Words from her site:  D.L. Finn is an independent California local who encourages everyone to embrace their inner child. She was born and raised in the foggy Bay Area, but in 1990 relocated with her husband, kids, dogs, and cats to the Sierra foothills in Nevada City, CA. She immersed herself in reading all types of books, but especially loved romance, horror, and fantasy. She always treasured creating her own reality on paper. Finally, being surrounded by towering pines, oaks, and cedars, her creativity was nurtured until it bloomed. Her creations vary from children’s books, young adult fantasy, and adult paranormal romance to an autobiography with poetry. She continues on her adventures with an open invitation for her readers to join her.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have some of your favorites you’d like to share? Let’s hear ’em!!

Until next time…………………………… Happy Reading!!  ❤
