#BookReview: Tequila Rose Virginity Blues, Wendy Jayne

by Wendy Jayne

The Facts… Tequila Rose may have met the man of her dreams. Unfortunately, she wakes up suffering from alcoholic amnesia and doesn’t remember anything about the night before. Tall, dark, and Jack may be the cure her jaded heart desperately needs, but Tequila’s wary as friends warn her that Jack hangs out with the local drug dealer. Thrust together at a Speed Dating event, their chemistry sizzles, but is Jack after a different kind of fix?

This book is such a wonderful, quick read. It’s been so long since I’ve taken the time to sit down with a book. I’m so glad I chose this one. I’ve read many of Wendy’s book, and she never lets me down. Tequila Rose Virginity Blues is certainly no exception.

The cover is beautiful. The writing is as close to perfect as one can get. The story flows nicely. Despite the short length, you still see the growth in the characters. Very well done.

I was hooked from the beginning with its cute, comical opening. So much of the story felt relatable. Dating life. Writing life. Family and friends. I felt like I was on the journey with the eccentric Tequila Rose. (Also, it’s important to know, Tequila Rose is a fantastic beverage! 😉 ) The story is funny and sweet and even exciting because the author keeps a little mystery going.

Overall, this is a must read. Wendy did an incredible job with this story, and if you haven’t already picked up a copy, then you are truly missing out.
